Say hello to The Sunday Centre

Following the launch of our ‘KEEP SUNDAYS WARM’ campaign, why not find out a little more about our partners The Sunday Centre.
The Sunday Centre is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria Hall in the city centre, which serves Sheffield’s homeless and vulnerable.
On Sundays, there is a particular need for a safe, warm refuge available to all because all of the other relief organisations working in Sheffield close on this day.
Their main aim is to provide hot food and drinks, yet also offer guests a genuine welcome and the chance to socialise with others as they wish, which may not be possible with the vulnerability of being out on the streets.
Over the next six weeks, Keep Sundays Warm will be raising money, donating clothes, and working to make a positive difference to our community.
You can help us in our aim to fund a Sunday, which costs between £500 and £600 to run, over at our GoFundMe.
This covers the costs of insurance, hot drinks, biscuits, hot lunches, newspapers, pudding and cleaning materials.
Also, if you have any spare winter clothes which you no longer wear, please consider donating them to The Sunday Centre to help Keep Sundays Warm, so that those who are less fortunate can benefit.
The address to donate clothes on a Sunday is:
Victoria Hall Methodist Church,
Norfolk Street,
Sheffield,
S1 2JB
(just down from the Curzon Cinema – postcode S1 2PF)
