KEEP SUNDAYS WARM CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
Steel City Insider is proud to launch a new campaign, dedicated to helping homeless and vulnerable people in Sheffield this winter.
We have created the ”KEEP SUNDAYS WARM” campaign to help raise money and collect clothes for The Sunday Centre, the only homeless and vulnerable non-profit organisation open on Sundays.
Stephen Clark, chair of The Sunday Centre, said: “The Sunday Centre provides good, healthy food to homeless people & others in serious need.
“We are also a safe, welcoming place to come to on a Sunday and that is really important for people who would often be sat out.
“It is important to me to be able to do something to help people who need some support. It is great to do that alongside a team of volunteers.”
‘Keep Sundays Warm’ aims to provide warm clothes and support to those sleeping rough during the cold weather as well as raising money.
The Sunday Centre wrote on its website: “On Sundays, there is a particular need for a safe, warm refuge available to all because many of the other relief organisations working in Sheffield close on this day.”
Over the next six weeks, Keep Sundays Warm will be raising money, donating clothes, and working to make a positive difference to our community.
But we can’t do that alone.
Our campaign relies on the kindness and goodwill that Sheffielders are known for.
If you have any spare winter clothes which you no longer wear, please consider donating them to Keep Sundays Warm, so those who are less fortunate can benefit.
All money raised will go directly to The Sunday Centre and will be used to buy all the supplies necessary to fund one session.
If you want to make a donation, go to our GoFundMe. Any donation makes an impact.
